All Smiles

As most of you who know Kendall are very aware of, she has quite a few "serious" looks(like I talked about in a previous post). And although she smiles and laughs a lot, she can really keep a straight, serious face when she wants to. Especially when she has a camera pointed at her. So it was fun to capture these next few pictures of her smiling so big. Apparently the trick is to turn the flash on. She thought it was hilarious!

School Pictures

If I had a quarter for every time someone told me or Ryan, "Oh wow, she's a serious little one, huh?" or "I wonder what she's thinking about, that's such a serious look" or "Look at that furrowed brow!", we could possibly have Kendall's first year of college paid for by now. I know that no one really means any harm by it, so I just smile, nod, and defend my sweet girl, telling them that she's just a little introverted and actually smiles and laughs a ton when she's around familiar people.  However, for some reason, my little boo is very serious at school most of the time, even though she's familiar with (and loves dearly) all of her teachers and little friends. So when we were told a photographer was coming to the school to take pictures, I knew that there wasn't a chance they would get her to actually smile. But hey, it's about the memories sometimes, and not always about getting that perfect picture!  So here...

Easter Surprises

The Easter bunny came to see Kendall a day early this year because he knew that her daddy had to work on Easter Sunday. This was the first year for her to enjoy coming downstairs to all of her Easter surprises. I love her face in the first few pictures because my mom always talks about how serious I was on Easter and Christmas. It's not that I wasn't excited, I was just taking everything in, and Kendall was the same way. Although she did get really excited once she started to really see her new toys. Serious face looking at her Easter basket and goodies Excited about her new baby doll So excited! Kendall loves Easter eggs and stickers Strolling her baby all around the house

Savannah Weekend

Ryan and I celebrated seven years of marriage on February 18 of this year. We decided that we really, REALLY needed to get away for a weekend without the little one. We had each been away from her twice for work and guys/girls trips, and she had spent the night at my parents house for one night while we stayed at home and got some cleaning and errands done. But we hadn't both spent two nights away from her at the same time and gone out of town for the weekend. So my parents (Grammy and Pops) kept Kendall for the weekend and we headed down to Savannah for a much-needed time away. Somehow even though I've lived in Georgia my whole life and Ryan has lived here for half of his, neither of us had really spent much time in Savannah. We decided to stay outside of the Historic District so that we could spend more money on food and entertainment, rather than spending it all on a hotel. We had such a great time. We ate at great restaurants, shopped around in fun shops, strolled down...

Christmas Post...Way Late

Ryan pointed out to me that I actually blogged more when I was in school than I do now. Haha. Probably because I was supposed to be studying or writing and instead would procrastinate with blogging. But I realized that I never posted about our Christmas, so hey, better late than never. We had a very different Christmas this year than normal. This was the first year of my sister being married, so since she would be in Indiana for Christmas and we would be in South Carolina, we celebrated Christmas on December 22 with my parents. We treated it just like Christmas morning and woke up early, had breakfast casserole and coffee, and opened our presents. Kendall was a bit overwhelmed with all of the attention, but she enjoyed opening her gifts. Hanging out with Aunt Lauren and Uncle Abraham Checking out her new chair from Mom and Dad We then planned to go to Ryan's parent's house for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. But on Christmas Eve, Kendall started to get a cou...

The "Fish Tank"

Ryan and I took a day off of work this week to take Kendall bug to the Georgia Aquarium, or the "fish tank" as Ryan likes to call it. It was something we wanted to do when I was part-time, but we never got around to it. And we knew it was really crowded on the weekends, so we wanted to go when it was less crowded and Kendall could really look at everything. She had a great time and we did too. Although I think she really just enjoyed running around everywhere. We were forcing her a little to look at the fish about halfway through the trip. Ha. But I know as she gets a little older she'll really enjoy it. Here are a few pictures from the trip: Checking out the coral reef section One of my favorite pictures The tank covered the whole wall and part of the ceiling,  so she was reaching up towards the top part of the tank. She started to walk up to the diver,  but got scared and turned around real fast to come back to us. Haha. Being sil...
