School Pictures

If I had a quarter for every time someone told me or Ryan, "Oh wow, she's a serious little one, huh?" or "I wonder what she's thinking about, that's such a serious look" or "Look at that furrowed brow!", we could possibly have Kendall's first year of college paid for by now. I know that no one really means any harm by it, so I just smile, nod, and defend my sweet girl, telling them that she's just a little introverted and actually smiles and laughs a ton when she's around familiar people.

However, for some reason, my little boo is very serious at school most of the time, even though she's familiar with (and loves dearly) all of her teachers and little friends. So when we were told a photographer was coming to the school to take pictures, I knew that there wasn't a chance they would get her to actually smile. But hey, it's about the memories sometimes, and not always about getting that perfect picture!

So here's a glimpse into Kendall's photo session. And yes, in all of them, she's looking at them as if she's saying, "You want me to do WHAT?!" But I still love them all!

"Tell me again why I'm on a crate?!"

"You want me to do what? Cross my feet?"

"If they think this big flower will make me smile..."

Those long lashes!

Happy 3rd Birthday K-Bug!

Kendall had her third birthday party at the splash pad. The rec center has a great room for rent where we held the actual party. Since she's in love with Doc McStuffins, we did the whole party around that theme. She had a good time and looked pretty adorable too!

Halloween 2014

Kendall went back and forth this year on whether she wanted to be her favorite TV character, Doc McStuffins, or a construction worker. The verdict was a construction worker until about two days before the Fall Parade at Weekday. She was such a cute little doctor! We also got to dress her up and go to our new neighborhood to Trick or Treat with friends. We closed on the new house on October 30, so even though we hadn't moved in, we were able to hang out with new neighbors!

Baby Girl!

We are 5 weeks away from the due date of our 2nd baby girl. I haven't been as good at documenting this pregnancy along the way. Some of that is owed to the fact that it's the 2nd, and some of it is owed to the fact that I just don't keep up with the blog anymore. But I know I'll want to look back on this time and have some documentation, so here goes nothing! This pregnancy has been a harder one than Kendall's. Or either I just forgot most of the hard stuff from the first time around. I was definitely much sicker this time, from 6 weeks until 15 weeks. I was nauseous all day every day, and threw up most days. No medicines would help at all. I was grateful to reach the point where I started to feel better. I wasn't sure that it was actually going to come! We are nervous and excited to meet this sweet baby. Right now, I can't even imagine having enough room in my heart to love another child the way I love Kendall. So I'm really excited to see how the L...
