Smiley faces

Kendall is really starting to smile and coo for us more. I haven't captured too many of her smiles on camera though, because when I take the camera out, she gives me her famous furrowed brow look like she's trying to figure out what in the world I'm doing. Like this one.... But here are a few of the smiles I have managed to capture.   Having fun on her play mat Sweet smile The fan is apparently funny because Kendall smiles and squeals at it constantly.   Getting excited about the fan!

Cuddle Monster

Who wouldn't want to cuddle with this precious bundle?

2 Months Old

Lil' bit turned 2 months old on September 8th. This month, she started smiling and cooing a lot. Her stomach issues also got much better. She loves to stare at ceiling fans, whether they are on or not. She's also holding up her head really well. We are more crazy about her every day!

Rolling Over

One morning when Ryan was heading to work, Kendall was being fussy so I had her in the bed with me for a few minutes trying to calm her down. Before he left for work, Ryan took her back to her crib where she fell back asleep. She was wrapped in a regular blanket instead of the usual swaddle blanket, so her little arms were free. A little while later I heard her squeal on the monitor and then get silent again. I decided to just peek in and make sure she was sleeping ok. When I went into her room, I noticed that she was much closer to the bars on the crib than normal. As I got closer, I realized that my little squirmer had rolled herself over onto her stomach and was sound asleep with her bum in the air! I know I'm not technically supposed to let her sleep on her stomach yet, but she looked so comfortable, there was no way I was going to move her. I wish I had seen how she managed to do it. She hasn't done it again, but I did get some pictures to prove it happened!

Road Trip

We took our first road trip with Kendall out to Lake Thurmond to visit Ryan's parents over Labor Day weekend. The trip was full of a lot of firsts for little bit. This was Kendall's first time outside of the state of Georgia. On the way there, we decided to stop in Athens at the UGA bookstore. So Kendall had her first trip to the University of Georgia! I'm pretty sure she loved it! I must say though, toting a baby to Athens is a much different experience than ever before. I can't say that I've ever gone into the bathrooms on campus wondering if they had a changing table. (And the answer to that is no.) The next "first" of the weekend was probably the best one of all. Kendall went to sleep the first night we got there at 11:00 pm and we had to wake her up at 7:00 am! Since she was in the pack-n-play in our room, I must have checked on her a million times. So it wasn't a very restful night for me, but it was very encouraging! Kendall also took her f...
