Road Trip

We took our first road trip with Kendall out to Lake Thurmond to visit Ryan's parents over Labor Day weekend. The trip was full of a lot of firsts for little bit. This was Kendall's first time outside of the state of Georgia.

On the way there, we decided to stop in Athens at the UGA bookstore. So Kendall had her first trip to the University of Georgia! I'm pretty sure she loved it! I must say though, toting a baby to Athens is a much different experience than ever before. I can't say that I've ever gone into the bathrooms on campus wondering if they had a changing table. (And the answer to that is no.)

The next "first" of the weekend was probably the best one of all. Kendall went to sleep the first night we got there at 11:00 pm and we had to wake her up at 7:00 am! Since she was in the pack-n-play in our room, I must have checked on her a million times. So it wasn't a very restful night for me, but it was very encouraging!

Kendall also took her first pontoon ride. I think she loved this too because she fell asleep almost immediately.

All in all it was a great weekend and a lot of fun for everyone. The Dawgs lost their first football game of the season, but somehow a baby distracted from that a great deal. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Happy 3rd Birthday K-Bug!

Kendall had her third birthday party at the splash pad. The rec center has a great room for rent where we held the actual party. Since she's in love with Doc McStuffins, we did the whole party around that theme. She had a good time and looked pretty adorable too!

Halloween 2014

Kendall went back and forth this year on whether she wanted to be her favorite TV character, Doc McStuffins, or a construction worker. The verdict was a construction worker until about two days before the Fall Parade at Weekday. She was such a cute little doctor! We also got to dress her up and go to our new neighborhood to Trick or Treat with friends. We closed on the new house on October 30, so even though we hadn't moved in, we were able to hang out with new neighbors!

Baby Girl!

We are 5 weeks away from the due date of our 2nd baby girl. I haven't been as good at documenting this pregnancy along the way. Some of that is owed to the fact that it's the 2nd, and some of it is owed to the fact that I just don't keep up with the blog anymore. But I know I'll want to look back on this time and have some documentation, so here goes nothing! This pregnancy has been a harder one than Kendall's. Or either I just forgot most of the hard stuff from the first time around. I was definitely much sicker this time, from 6 weeks until 15 weeks. I was nauseous all day every day, and threw up most days. No medicines would help at all. I was grateful to reach the point where I started to feel better. I wasn't sure that it was actually going to come! We are nervous and excited to meet this sweet baby. Right now, I can't even imagine having enough room in my heart to love another child the way I love Kendall. So I'm really excited to see how the L...
