If I had a quarter for every time someone told me or Ryan, "Oh wow, she's a serious little one, huh?" or "I wonder what she's thinking about, that's such a serious look" or "Look at that furrowed brow!", we could possibly have Kendall's first year of college paid for by now. I know that no one really means any harm by it, so I just smile, nod, and defend my sweet girl, telling them that she's just a little introverted and actually smiles and laughs a ton when she's around familiar people. However, for some reason, my little boo is very serious at school most of the time, even though she's familiar with (and loves dearly) all of her teachers and little friends. So when we were told a photographer was coming to the school to take pictures, I knew that there wasn't a chance they would get her to actually smile.
