Zoo Atlanta

Every year, North Point has a fall event for staff and their families to attend. Usually it's "Fall at the Farm" but this year was "Fall at the Zoo". This was perfect timing because we were ready to take Kendall bug for her first visit to the zoo. She was semi-interested in the animals that were up close, but not so much at the ones further away. I would point and try and get her to look, but to no avail. She was much more interested in all of her little friends around us. We recently joined a new small group with 7 other couples through our church. Three other people in the group also work at North Point, so they were all there with their kiddos too, which was lots of fun. I didn't take a ton of pictures, but there are a few to enjoy! I LOVE this picture. Notice Kendall's sweet little hand? She put her arm around Ryan all on her own.

The Cumming Fair

What do you do when your beloved football team is playing in the biggest game of the season so far and apparently forgets all of their talent and skill in Athens? You blog. Because that's much more fun than watching said team get absolutely embarrassed. So yay! Thanks to the Dawgs' terrible, TERRIBLE, play tonight, I am getting caught up on my blogging. I hope you all enjoy seeing the fun we've had so far this fall. It's really been a blast. This morning we went to the Cumming Fair. Kendall's not at an age yet where she can ride rides by herself, so we just walked around and watched everyone else ride them. We came up on a really cool petting zoo. Kendall just got to pet some goats yesterday, but it was from behind a fence. But at this petting zoo, we got to go into the fence and get up close and personal with goats, sheep, rabbits, and pigs. Kendall did great and wasn't scared at all of the animals.  Petting the big goats Playing with the li...

Pumpkin Farm

The first Christmas that Ryan and I were married, we found a Christmas tree farm in Dawsonville where we cut down our Christmas tree. I found out this year that they also have pumpkins during the fall. So we made the trek up to the Kinsey Family Farm on Friday. It was a beautiful day and not crowded at all since it was during a work day. Kendall had a great time petting the goats and cows.  Her favorite part of the trip to the pumpkin farm by far was riding in the wagon to pick out a pumpkin. She did not want to get out of it!  Playing with her baby pumpkin This was cute until she started dropping  all of the little pumpkins out of the wagon.

Visit to Athens

Last weekend, we spent the weekend at Lake Thurmond at Ryan's parent's house. It was a nice, relaxing weekend. So relaxing apparently that I never even took out my camera! But we had a wonderful time visiting with Mimi and Papa.  On our way back home, we stopped in Athens for lunch at Peppino's. We decided to go onto campus and walk around a little. We showed Kendall the stadium, Tate Center, and the bookstore. We also went by the PJ auditorium where Ryan and I had a class together when we first met. We told Kendall some stories as we walked around. I can't wait to drive her crazy one day telling her those stories over and over! Ha. She'll appreciate it one day. I really need to do a whole blog post with blooper pictures of these two. They get fed up with picture taking very quickly! Ha.

The Rock Ranch

My work held a run/bike event at The Rock Ranch in The Rock, GA (who knew that was a real city?). The Rock Ranch is Truett Cathy's personal ranch. It's a beautiful place to visit! In the fall they hold Fall Family Fun Days every Saturday with a ton of fun activities. Abraham and Lauren rode in the 25-mile bike ride while I worked at the run/bike. After that, Kendall and Ryan and my parents came down to hang out. We went on a zipline, hung out with some old friends, rode a train, went into the country store, and more. It was a great time! Lauren and Abraham before the big ride Sisters! Our friends Andy and Connor on the zipline Such a pretty view from the zipline On the train and ready for a nap! Us with little Jack Ward
