Christmas Post...Way Late

Ryan pointed out to me that I actually blogged more when I was in school than I do now. Haha. Probably because I was supposed to be studying or writing and instead would procrastinate with blogging.

But I realized that I never posted about our Christmas, so hey, better late than never. We had a very different Christmas this year than normal. This was the first year of my sister being married, so since she would be in Indiana for Christmas and we would be in South Carolina, we celebrated Christmas on December 22 with my parents. We treated it just like Christmas morning and woke up early, had breakfast casserole and coffee, and opened our presents. Kendall was a bit overwhelmed with all of the attention, but she enjoyed opening her gifts.

We then planned to go to Ryan's parent's house for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. But on Christmas Eve, Kendall started to get a cough, runny nose, and everything fun that comes with that. So we decided it would be in everyone's best interest to stay home. Needless to say, it wasn't what we wanted to do, but we made the best of it. I went grocery shopping for food on Christmas Eve for Christmas dinner with all of the procrastinators and Ryan braved Honeybaked Ham. We had a good Christmas dinner, enjoyed watching Kendall open her gifts, and had some good down time at home.

One small piece of wrapping paper at a time...

She loved ripping the paper off...

Then she handed every little piece to me and Ryan

Happy 3rd Birthday K-Bug!

Kendall had her third birthday party at the splash pad. The rec center has a great room for rent where we held the actual party. Since she's in love with Doc McStuffins, we did the whole party around that theme. She had a good time and looked pretty adorable too!

Halloween 2014

Kendall went back and forth this year on whether she wanted to be her favorite TV character, Doc McStuffins, or a construction worker. The verdict was a construction worker until about two days before the Fall Parade at Weekday. She was such a cute little doctor! We also got to dress her up and go to our new neighborhood to Trick or Treat with friends. We closed on the new house on October 30, so even though we hadn't moved in, we were able to hang out with new neighbors!

Stone Mountain

Today was Kendall's first trip to Stone Mountain. We rode the tram to the top, ate lunch, rode the train around the mountain, and enjoyed the sights. Such a fun day with Grammy and Pops!   The sign of a good day!
