Beach Trip - Day Two

Our 2nd day in St. Simons was jam packed and lots of fun! We started off the day by going to our favorite breakfast restaurant called Sandcastle. St. Simons has a great little area of shops and restaurants in the "Village". Sandcastle is pretty famous (especially in our extended family) for their breakfast buffet. Talk about some serious food! And whew, is it tasty! Kendall enjoyed herself some french toast, scrambled cheese eggs, blueberry muffin, and fruit. I won't even tell you what all Ryan and I ate. Just take my word for it that it was good.....and fattening!

Happy little booger before breakfast

After breakfast we walked down to the pier. It's always fun to walk out on because there are fishermen (and women) casting their lines and nets into the water. As we walked out we actually saw one of the women catch a small sting ray. She wasn't very amused about it, but we thought it was cool to see!

Hanging out at the pier

Yawn!
After the pier, Kendall fell asleep in the truck on the way back to the condo, so we decided to just take a scenic drive around the island. St. Simons has a wonderful little church called Christ Church. It's one of the oldest churches in Georgia. They first started worshiping at the church in 1736 and it's still an active church today. It sits beneath big oak trees and has an old cemetery next to it. It's a really neat place to visit.

We set up camp on the beach after getting back to the condo. Kendall had a little pool to play in on the beach which she loved. The little booger refused to take a nap on the beach though, so we went back up to the room for a few hours. Then Kendall and I went back down and played in the pool while Ryan chilled out by himself for a while in the condo.

Playing "dentist" instead of napping

That night we went to dinner and then came back and took a walk on the beach. It was a really great day!

Happy 3rd Birthday K-Bug!

Kendall had her third birthday party at the splash pad. The rec center has a great room for rent where we held the actual party. Since she's in love with Doc McStuffins, we did the whole party around that theme. She had a good time and looked pretty adorable too!

Halloween 2014

Kendall went back and forth this year on whether she wanted to be her favorite TV character, Doc McStuffins, or a construction worker. The verdict was a construction worker until about two days before the Fall Parade at Weekday. She was such a cute little doctor! We also got to dress her up and go to our new neighborhood to Trick or Treat with friends. We closed on the new house on October 30, so even though we hadn't moved in, we were able to hang out with new neighbors!

Baby Girl!

We are 5 weeks away from the due date of our 2nd baby girl. I haven't been as good at documenting this pregnancy along the way. Some of that is owed to the fact that it's the 2nd, and some of it is owed to the fact that I just don't keep up with the blog anymore. But I know I'll want to look back on this time and have some documentation, so here goes nothing! This pregnancy has been a harder one than Kendall's. Or either I just forgot most of the hard stuff from the first time around. I was definitely much sicker this time, from 6 weeks until 15 weeks. I was nauseous all day every day, and threw up most days. No medicines would help at all. I was grateful to reach the point where I started to feel better. I wasn't sure that it was actually going to come! We are nervous and excited to meet this sweet baby. Right now, I can't even imagine having enough room in my heart to love another child the way I love Kendall. So I'm really excited to see how the L...
