Beach Trip - Day One

We took a vacation to St. Simons this week for Kendall's first trip to the beach! I'm going to split the trip into several blog posts because there's a lot of pictures and a lot I want to share. I want to make sure to remember the details of events like these.

I also don't have time to upload all of the pictures in one sitting, because sure enough, as soon as I sit down to blog, Kendall decides that 40 minutes is plenty for her one nap of the day. (I assure you that it's not enough, and in a few hours she's not going to be a happy camper.)

That line was from Kendall. I think it says that she thinks napping is overrated.

So anyways, we left last Monday and drove down to St. Simons. I was nervous about the drive because Kendall is not content at all in the car. She's still facing backwards and she gets bored really quickly. But luckily we left at 1 and she fell asleep within minutes. She stayed asleep all the way to Macon, which was great. The next few hours I sat in the back and tried to keep her entertained. Then we stopped for dinner and after that she slept the rest of the way! So it wasn't too bad.

The first day we decided to spend most of our time at the pool instead of at the beach. But we walked out to the beach to let her see and experience the sand and ocean. She did really well with it. She was scared for a few seconds and then was fine. She walked along the beach (with assistance) and just let the waves come up on her feet and legs. She was so cute. These pictures below are from the first morning of exploring the sand and ocean. Enjoy!

Happy 3rd Birthday K-Bug!

Kendall had her third birthday party at the splash pad. The rec center has a great room for rent where we held the actual party. Since she's in love with Doc McStuffins, we did the whole party around that theme. She had a good time and looked pretty adorable too!

Halloween 2014

Kendall went back and forth this year on whether she wanted to be her favorite TV character, Doc McStuffins, or a construction worker. The verdict was a construction worker until about two days before the Fall Parade at Weekday. She was such a cute little doctor! We also got to dress her up and go to our new neighborhood to Trick or Treat with friends. We closed on the new house on October 30, so even though we hadn't moved in, we were able to hang out with new neighbors!

Stone Mountain

Today was Kendall's first trip to Stone Mountain. We rode the tram to the top, ate lunch, rode the train around the mountain, and enjoyed the sights. Such a fun day with Grammy and Pops!   The sign of a good day!
