Swim Lessons

Ryan and I have always spent a great deal of time at the pool and lake each summer. We both love the water, so we want Kendall to be comfortable in the water as well. We found a place near us that offers year-round swim lessons. Their infant/toddler class is for kids from 6 months - 3 years old and is for the kids and a parent. We knew that Kendall would be too young to really understand the skills they were teaching her but that Ryan and I could learn different skills to continue teaching her in the water. We all had a really good time. She enjoyed the water, and we got more comfortable with her in the pool.

Learning how to "scoop" the water with her hands

Trying on swim goggles - which she absolutely hated!

Singing "The wheels on the bus go round and round"

"I don't want to kick, I just want the ball!"

Rolling her over in the water to her back

Jumping off the side of the pool (from her bottom)
Despite the look on her face, she did enjoy this!

Happy 3rd Birthday K-Bug!

Kendall had her third birthday party at the splash pad. The rec center has a great room for rent where we held the actual party. Since she's in love with Doc McStuffins, we did the whole party around that theme. She had a good time and looked pretty adorable too!

Halloween 2014

Kendall went back and forth this year on whether she wanted to be her favorite TV character, Doc McStuffins, or a construction worker. The verdict was a construction worker until about two days before the Fall Parade at Weekday. She was such a cute little doctor! We also got to dress her up and go to our new neighborhood to Trick or Treat with friends. We closed on the new house on October 30, so even though we hadn't moved in, we were able to hang out with new neighbors!

Baby Girl!

We are 5 weeks away from the due date of our 2nd baby girl. I haven't been as good at documenting this pregnancy along the way. Some of that is owed to the fact that it's the 2nd, and some of it is owed to the fact that I just don't keep up with the blog anymore. But I know I'll want to look back on this time and have some documentation, so here goes nothing! This pregnancy has been a harder one than Kendall's. Or either I just forgot most of the hard stuff from the first time around. I was definitely much sicker this time, from 6 weeks until 15 weeks. I was nauseous all day every day, and threw up most days. No medicines would help at all. I was grateful to reach the point where I started to feel better. I wasn't sure that it was actually going to come! We are nervous and excited to meet this sweet baby. Right now, I can't even imagine having enough room in my heart to love another child the way I love Kendall. So I'm really excited to see how the L...
