Congrats Lauren & Abraham!

My sister and I are both independent girls. But Lauren definitely beats me as the most independent of the two of us. She likes her space and does not shy away from alone time. She once told me that she didn't understand how you could ever want to spend every day with someone.

So when she started dating Abraham and started spending a whole lot of time with him, I knew that this time it was going to be different. I saw that she was starting to understand what it felt like to want to hang out with someone every day. A couple months after they started dating, Lauren told me that she was 100% sure that she was going to marry Abraham. And knowing Lauren, I knew that it was a good thing. Because if there was any uncertainty in her mind about him, there would have been NO way she would have been talking marriage. And sure enough, they announced they were engaged a few months later.

Lauren and Abraham were married in a small ceremony in Blue Ridge on May 19. We are so excited for them and are really excited to add to the family yet again! Here are a few pictures from their wedding day.

Happy 3rd Birthday K-Bug!

Kendall had her third birthday party at the splash pad. The rec center has a great room for rent where we held the actual party. Since she's in love with Doc McStuffins, we did the whole party around that theme. She had a good time and looked pretty adorable too!

Halloween 2014

Kendall went back and forth this year on whether she wanted to be her favorite TV character, Doc McStuffins, or a construction worker. The verdict was a construction worker until about two days before the Fall Parade at Weekday. She was such a cute little doctor! We also got to dress her up and go to our new neighborhood to Trick or Treat with friends. We closed on the new house on October 30, so even though we hadn't moved in, we were able to hang out with new neighbors!

Baby Girl!

We are 5 weeks away from the due date of our 2nd baby girl. I haven't been as good at documenting this pregnancy along the way. Some of that is owed to the fact that it's the 2nd, and some of it is owed to the fact that I just don't keep up with the blog anymore. But I know I'll want to look back on this time and have some documentation, so here goes nothing! This pregnancy has been a harder one than Kendall's. Or either I just forgot most of the hard stuff from the first time around. I was definitely much sicker this time, from 6 weeks until 15 weeks. I was nauseous all day every day, and threw up most days. No medicines would help at all. I was grateful to reach the point where I started to feel better. I wasn't sure that it was actually going to come! We are nervous and excited to meet this sweet baby. Right now, I can't even imagine having enough room in my heart to love another child the way I love Kendall. So I'm really excited to see how the L...
