This month has also been a fun, exciting time too. K-bug has started pulling up on everything. She loves to stand up holding onto the couch, toy box, ottoman, chair, or whatever is low enough for her to grab and pull up on. Perhaps because of her sickness, Kendall has become really attached to her stuffed monkey, who we named Banjo. She previously hasn't been very interested at all in stuffed animals, but she LOVES Banjo now. I think he was a good comfort for her when she didn't feel well. So now when we put her down to bed, she immediately puts her little arm around Banjo. It's the cutest thing.
Kendall also stayed in a hotel for the first time this month and did great! We went to Blue Ridge for Lauren and Abraham's wedding and Kendall did great. She slept all night in her pack n play without a sound. I was nervous that it was going to derail her sleeping patterns, but she is still sleeping wonderfully. She typically goes to bed at 8 and wakes up around 7, give or take 30 minutes.
She also went swimming in a big pool for the first time. We took her to our neighborhood pool a few times before swim lessons to get her accustomed to the water. She absolutely loves splashing around in the water! We also went and hung out with Andy and Stella Bell and their girls at their pool. She loved that too!
Kendall moved into a "toddler" class at preschool. I'm totally in denial though and don't think I have a toddler yet. She has to walk to be considered a toddler, right? Some of her classmates are walking, but some of them are like her and are perfectly content to be crawling for now. As far as her teachers are telling me, she's doing well in her new class.
I can't believe we almost have a one-year old. While I was on a break from school, I started party planning for a small, family cookout we're going to do for Kendall's first birthday. So I promise plenty of pictures from the ladybug party next month!
This mischievous look says,
"Mom, you have no idea the craziness
I'm about to unleash on you."
I am SO funny.
Always distracted by the animals
"Well hello there!"
She looks peaceful here.
Which actually lasted all of 0.2 seconds.
And the Grand Finale of the picture session.
Showing off her new pulling up skills.
And making Mom super nervous.
