Baby Showers

This past weekend I had my first baby showers. One was thrown by some wonderful church friends and the other one was thrown by great family friends. They were both so much fun! Kendall got some really cute stuff. Having a girl is already really fun, especially when it comes to all of the cute clothes, blankets, etc.

The first shower was mostly church friends from over the years. It was great to see everyone and catch up on what is going on with everybody. It's so neat to see people that have meant so much to me growing up. Sunday School teachers, choir director, best friends and their moms, youth minister's wife, and the list goes on and on. It was a really fun day. One of the most special gifts was from Ryan's mom who made a sweet blanket. I love it and I know Kendall will too! We also received some great monogrammed gifts that I'm so excited about!

(I'm kind of hoping that she comes out with their blonde hair!)

The next shower was many of my mom's co-workers, as well as other church friends from over the years. My sister, my 2 sister-in-laws, and my other two "sisters", Allison & Ansley, were all there. At this shower, my mom gave me the dress that Lauren and I wore home from the hospital when we were born. It was given to me by my sweet Gran, so it is extremely special, and we plan to continue to the tradition with Kendall. We also got the crib bedding from my parents that I can't wait to put in her room.

Happy 3rd Birthday K-Bug!

Kendall had her third birthday party at the splash pad. The rec center has a great room for rent where we held the actual party. Since she's in love with Doc McStuffins, we did the whole party around that theme. She had a good time and looked pretty adorable too!

Halloween 2014

Kendall went back and forth this year on whether she wanted to be her favorite TV character, Doc McStuffins, or a construction worker. The verdict was a construction worker until about two days before the Fall Parade at Weekday. She was such a cute little doctor! We also got to dress her up and go to our new neighborhood to Trick or Treat with friends. We closed on the new house on October 30, so even though we hadn't moved in, we were able to hang out with new neighbors!

Baby Girl!

We are 5 weeks away from the due date of our 2nd baby girl. I haven't been as good at documenting this pregnancy along the way. Some of that is owed to the fact that it's the 2nd, and some of it is owed to the fact that I just don't keep up with the blog anymore. But I know I'll want to look back on this time and have some documentation, so here goes nothing! This pregnancy has been a harder one than Kendall's. Or either I just forgot most of the hard stuff from the first time around. I was definitely much sicker this time, from 6 weeks until 15 weeks. I was nauseous all day every day, and threw up most days. No medicines would help at all. I was grateful to reach the point where I started to feel better. I wasn't sure that it was actually going to come! We are nervous and excited to meet this sweet baby. Right now, I can't even imagine having enough room in my heart to love another child the way I love Kendall. So I'm really excited to see how the L...
