For years now, my mom's side of the family has celebrated Easter at Lake Oconee. It's a really great tradition and always a fun time.
All of the "adults" (I'm still in the kid category for now - that probably changes once I have one of my own!) cook all sorts of amazing food. It's like a Thanksgiving feast at Easter time. Sweet potato souffle, rice casserole, squash casserole, green beans, turkey and ham, asparagus casserole, homemade rolls, apple cake, caramel cake, deviled eggs, and the list goes on. It's pure gluttony.
This year we celebrated a week early because of vacations and Spring Break. Here are a few pictures of the family fun - which included the annual Easter Egg hunt, cornhole, and lots of relaxing. It was such a gorgeous day to hang out at the lake.
