Easter at the Beach

After a long and hectic week with school, I got up early Friday morning and drove down to Mom and Dad's to go to St. Simons for the weekend. Mom and I had off of work on Friday, so we were able to start our beach weekend a little early. Lauren and Dad joined us a little later in the afternoon. Unfortunately Ryan wasn't able to come because of work, but obviously Easter Sunday is kind of a big deal when you work at a church!

Our family had a nice, relaxing weekend together. We ate...a lot...and really good! We hung out on the front porch talking, and laughing at the quirky neighbor who was spazzing out on her tricycle. We spent time at the beach laying out and people watching. We also watched people windsurfing, kite surfing, and paddle boarding. On Sunday, we went to St. Simons Community Church for their Easter service. It was sort of a non-traditional Easter for our family, but we had a really great time.

Sunset from the pier

This picture cracks me up. It was SO windy at the pier.
You can see that all of mom's hair is on one side of her head!

Happy 3rd Birthday K-Bug!

Kendall had her third birthday party at the splash pad. The rec center has a great room for rent where we held the actual party. Since she's in love with Doc McStuffins, we did the whole party around that theme. She had a good time and looked pretty adorable too!

Halloween 2014

Kendall went back and forth this year on whether she wanted to be her favorite TV character, Doc McStuffins, or a construction worker. The verdict was a construction worker until about two days before the Fall Parade at Weekday. She was such a cute little doctor! We also got to dress her up and go to our new neighborhood to Trick or Treat with friends. We closed on the new house on October 30, so even though we hadn't moved in, we were able to hang out with new neighbors!

Baby Girl!

We are 5 weeks away from the due date of our 2nd baby girl. I haven't been as good at documenting this pregnancy along the way. Some of that is owed to the fact that it's the 2nd, and some of it is owed to the fact that I just don't keep up with the blog anymore. But I know I'll want to look back on this time and have some documentation, so here goes nothing! This pregnancy has been a harder one than Kendall's. Or either I just forgot most of the hard stuff from the first time around. I was definitely much sicker this time, from 6 weeks until 15 weeks. I was nauseous all day every day, and threw up most days. No medicines would help at all. I was grateful to reach the point where I started to feel better. I wasn't sure that it was actually going to come! We are nervous and excited to meet this sweet baby. Right now, I can't even imagine having enough room in my heart to love another child the way I love Kendall. So I'm really excited to see how the L...
