Christmas Post...Way Late

Ryan pointed out to me that I actually blogged more when I was in school than I do now. Haha. Probably because I was supposed to be studying or writing and instead would procrastinate with blogging. But I realized that I never posted about our Christmas, so hey, better late than never. We had a very different Christmas this year than normal. This was the first year of my sister being married, so since she would be in Indiana for Christmas and we would be in South Carolina, we celebrated Christmas on December 22 with my parents. We treated it just like Christmas morning and woke up early, had breakfast casserole and coffee, and opened our presents. Kendall was a bit overwhelmed with all of the attention, but she enjoyed opening her gifts. Hanging out with Aunt Lauren and Uncle Abraham Checking out her new chair from Mom and Dad We then planned to go to Ryan's parent's house for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. But on Christmas Eve, Kendall started to get a cou...

The "Fish Tank"

Ryan and I took a day off of work this week to take Kendall bug to the Georgia Aquarium, or the "fish tank" as Ryan likes to call it. It was something we wanted to do when I was part-time, but we never got around to it. And we knew it was really crowded on the weekends, so we wanted to go when it was less crowded and Kendall could really look at everything. She had a great time and we did too. Although I think she really just enjoyed running around everywhere. We were forcing her a little to look at the fish about halfway through the trip. Ha. But I know as she gets a little older she'll really enjoy it. Here are a few pictures from the trip: Checking out the coral reef section One of my favorite pictures The tank covered the whole wall and part of the ceiling,  so she was reaching up towards the top part of the tank. She started to walk up to the diver,  but got scared and turned around real fast to come back to us. Haha. Being sil...

Pink Pig

For those of you not from Atlanta, I feel like I'm going to have to thoroughly explain this blog post. Growing up in Atlanta, the department store, Rich's, was a big part of Atlanta culture. The headquarters was in downtown Atlanta, so back in the day, a lot of Atlantans worked for Rich's. My grandmother (Gran) was one of them. Gran was a pharmacist and worked at the Rich's downtown.  So when I was little, Rich's had a ride around Christmas time called the Pink Pig. The Pink Pig began in 1953, and it was a monorail train that originally went above the toy department at Rich's. The train was  pink and the doors on it opened like those on a Lamborghini. Every year we would go downtown during December with our neighbors and best friends, the Bachelors. The ride eventually moved to the roof of Rich's where it would fly over Christmas scenes that had been placed on the roof. I remember it being so cold, but so much fun.  Eventually Macy's took...

Mountain Getaway

Back in November (yep I'm way behind) we went for a weekend away in Blue Ridge with the whole Tabor family. We stayed in a beautiful cabin together with great views. The little girls had so much fun playing together. It was some fun family time. Kendall and Genevieve playing in the tent Playing on the black bears Gorgeous view from the deck Sweet cousins Reading with Dad and Papa Ryan and Andrea playing pool  (and Ryan being ridiculous for the camera)

Dance to the Music!

Grammy and Pops gave Kendall a Frankenstein doll that dances to Monster Mash. Just yesterday she started dancing with the music. The quality of the video isn't great, but you get the idea. My favorite part is when she goes down to one knee. Cracks me up every time!

Halloween

Our little turtle was in a Halloween parade for the 2nd time! Her preschool does a parade for all of the kids down the church hallway for the parents and staff that want to come. We were afraid this year that she was going to freak out when she saw us in the crowd. But she did really well. She just tried to climb out of the stroller when she saw us like she wanted to come with us.  She left her hat and turtle shoes on which was a small miracle. She wouldn't leave the hat on for more than 2 seconds every time I put it on her at home. Little turtle with the girls in her class -  Turtle, UGA cheerleader, bumble bee, and owl Trying to climb out of the stroller Some of the boys in Kendall's class This picture is funny and so sad at the same time. See the little turtle head up there looking back for Mom & Dad?  Break. My. Heart. Here are some other pictures of kids in their costumes. So adorable! Going out trick-or-tre...
