Happy 1st Birthday!

Happy 1st Birthday to our little boo bear. We had so much fun for Kendall's birthday weekend. We spent the night at Pops and Grammy's house the night before her party. These first few pictures are from Friday night when she got to open her new car! She loved it from the moment she rode in it.

Side note: Aren't her pajamas just the cutest?

We had a ladybug theme for her birthday. We call Kendall our little bug, so it seemed fitting. Not to mention we love to decorate in red and black! I did a few Pinterest projects for her party, which I really enjoyed. I'm not the craftiest but I do enjoy scrapbook-type projects like these.

Kendall's cake and the adult's cake were made by our family friend, Lisa Thomas. She's so talented! She also made our wedding cakes six years ago!

My sweet and oh-so-talented friend, Stella, made Kendall's onesie for her party. She also made the tutu which I've had since before Kendall was born. I tried the tutu on her several times before the party so that she would be used to wearing it. She did good with it, but her daddy felt like she couldn't crawl well with it on. So it didn't stay on for very long.

Opening her birthday gifts

Our little boo is a very picky eater, especially with new textures, so we knew how the cake part was going to turn out. Sure enough, Kendall wanted nothing to do with it. In fact, she didn't even want to be in her highchair. This little girl has some serious separation anxiety going on these days. Too many people around I guess. So she did let me feed her some cake and icing, but she didn't seem too fond of it.

Overall we had a great time. We cannot believe that our little bug is 1!
Happy Birthday Kendall bug!

Happy 3rd Birthday K-Bug!

Kendall had her third birthday party at the splash pad. The rec center has a great room for rent where we held the actual party. Since she's in love with Doc McStuffins, we did the whole party around that theme. She had a good time and looked pretty adorable too!

Halloween 2014

Kendall went back and forth this year on whether she wanted to be her favorite TV character, Doc McStuffins, or a construction worker. The verdict was a construction worker until about two days before the Fall Parade at Weekday. She was such a cute little doctor! We also got to dress her up and go to our new neighborhood to Trick or Treat with friends. We closed on the new house on October 30, so even though we hadn't moved in, we were able to hang out with new neighbors!

Baby Girl!

We are 5 weeks away from the due date of our 2nd baby girl. I haven't been as good at documenting this pregnancy along the way. Some of that is owed to the fact that it's the 2nd, and some of it is owed to the fact that I just don't keep up with the blog anymore. But I know I'll want to look back on this time and have some documentation, so here goes nothing! This pregnancy has been a harder one than Kendall's. Or either I just forgot most of the hard stuff from the first time around. I was definitely much sicker this time, from 6 weeks until 15 weeks. I was nauseous all day every day, and threw up most days. No medicines would help at all. I was grateful to reach the point where I started to feel better. I wasn't sure that it was actually going to come! We are nervous and excited to meet this sweet baby. Right now, I can't even imagine having enough room in my heart to love another child the way I love Kendall. So I'm really excited to see how the L...
