Spring is in the Air!

My favorite times of the year are when the seasons first change from Summer to Fall, and from Winter to Spring. I love the cool but nice temperatures that come with both of these season changes. And the sky is so blue and gorgeous. I just love it. And since we don't have spring-like temperatures for long in Georgia, we try to get out and enjoy it as much as possible.

This past weekend was so much fun. K-bug was a lot of fun and such a trooper for all of the activities we had planned! She and I signed up to do the Run for Orphans "fun run" in Alpharetta on Saturday morning. I was a little nervous because I wanted to be there by 7 or 7:15 to register. Kendall doesn't normally wake up until that time, and she can be a little cranky if you wake her up too early! But apparently she knew we had something fun planned because she was up and ready for the day at 6:15. We had a great time with Ms. Edde, one of our favorite people at Weekday, in the fun run.

Hanging out in her stroller after the race

After the race we went to the playground
so she could swing for a little while.

Later on in the day, Uncle Eric and Aunt Andrea came up to watch the Kentucky Final Four game. Ryan grilled out hamburgers and we all hung out outside. Kendall enjoyed playing on her blanket in the grass. I can't wait to do more activities with her outside this Spring and Summer!

Happy 3rd Birthday K-Bug!

Kendall had her third birthday party at the splash pad. The rec center has a great room for rent where we held the actual party. Since she's in love with Doc McStuffins, we did the whole party around that theme. She had a good time and looked pretty adorable too!

Halloween 2014

Kendall went back and forth this year on whether she wanted to be her favorite TV character, Doc McStuffins, or a construction worker. The verdict was a construction worker until about two days before the Fall Parade at Weekday. She was such a cute little doctor! We also got to dress her up and go to our new neighborhood to Trick or Treat with friends. We closed on the new house on October 30, so even though we hadn't moved in, we were able to hang out with new neighbors!

Baby Girl!

We are 5 weeks away from the due date of our 2nd baby girl. I haven't been as good at documenting this pregnancy along the way. Some of that is owed to the fact that it's the 2nd, and some of it is owed to the fact that I just don't keep up with the blog anymore. But I know I'll want to look back on this time and have some documentation, so here goes nothing! This pregnancy has been a harder one than Kendall's. Or either I just forgot most of the hard stuff from the first time around. I was definitely much sicker this time, from 6 weeks until 15 weeks. I was nauseous all day every day, and threw up most days. No medicines would help at all. I was grateful to reach the point where I started to feel better. I wasn't sure that it was actually going to come! We are nervous and excited to meet this sweet baby. Right now, I can't even imagine having enough room in my heart to love another child the way I love Kendall. So I'm really excited to see how the L...
