Happy 8 Months!

Kendall Brooke,

The past month has been so much fun. You learned how to sit up on your own, which you have absolutely loved. You play with all of your toys so well and are very content now that you can sit on your own. You don't really have much of an interest in crawling yet. Probably because you are able to scoot around and get to where you want to be, just by rolling and moving around like crazy.

You learned how to clap this month. All we have to do is mention the word "clap" or say "Yay Kendall!" and you start clapping like crazy. Just recently, you started showing us your mischievous side too. On the changing table you are becoming quite the little roller. I mean, you completely roll over 4 or 5 times while I'm trying to change your diaper and your clothes. So one time, Mommy told you "No" and told you to stay on your back. You stopped and looked at me with a real serious look, like you knew you were in trouble. But then you busted out a huge smile and started clapping. Mommy and Daddy both had to turn around and try to contain our laughter. We are in so much trouble!

You have become a really great eater, and are loving your solid food especially. This month, you started liking sweet potatoes again, but you are hating peas. One time, you ate almost a whole jar of peas, but towards the end you started spitting it out and gagging yourself. We'll steer clear of peas for now!

You are still famous for your furrowed brow look. If you are in an unfamiliar place or with a lot of new people, you absolutely will not smile until you get more comfortable. You are like me, you like to study people and check them out to see what they're doing. You are doing great at Weekday still. You moved up to a Crawlers class and really seem to love it. You have two great teachers, Ms. Kristi and Ms. Suzanne, who were also with you in the Babies class. We feel so blessed that we are a part of the North Point Weekday family. Your dad still gets to come down and visit with you in the middle of the day. You did start crying once when he left, so it may only be a matter of time before he's not able to come and visit anymore.

We love you so much little boo! I can't believe you're already 8 months old.

Love,

Mommy

"I see that you have a camera,
and that you're acting a fool trying to get me to smile,
but I'm just not going to."

"Oh wait, but Dad's in here now. He's usually pretty funny."

"Dad is stinkin' hilarious!"

Drop-kicked the bear.
Something about how he's the new guy and didn't really belong.

This girl seriously thinks her Dad is hilarious.
I could do the exact same thing that Ryan is doing and she just stares at me.
Don't get me wrong, she does think I'm funny....sometimes.
But no one can get her laughing quite like her Daddy!

Happy 3rd Birthday K-Bug!

Kendall had her third birthday party at the splash pad. The rec center has a great room for rent where we held the actual party. Since she's in love with Doc McStuffins, we did the whole party around that theme. She had a good time and looked pretty adorable too!

Halloween 2014

Kendall went back and forth this year on whether she wanted to be her favorite TV character, Doc McStuffins, or a construction worker. The verdict was a construction worker until about two days before the Fall Parade at Weekday. She was such a cute little doctor! We also got to dress her up and go to our new neighborhood to Trick or Treat with friends. We closed on the new house on October 30, so even though we hadn't moved in, we were able to hang out with new neighbors!

Stone Mountain

Today was Kendall's first trip to Stone Mountain. We rode the tram to the top, ate lunch, rode the train around the mountain, and enjoyed the sights. Such a fun day with Grammy and Pops!   The sign of a good day!
