Happy 10 Months!

Kendall turned 10 months old on May 8th. It's possible I've said this for the past several months, but I'm not exaggerating when I say that this month was the most fun month so far! My goodness, we have such a fun, silly, smart girl. But no bias, right? She has learned SO much this month and is such a joy. She loves to laugh and will start giggling whenever she hears me and Ryan laughing. The best is when we're riding in the car and Ryan and I start laughing about something. She'll just start cracking up like she knows what we're talking about. It's so cute! So I know these details may not be interesting to everyone, but it's mostly so that I can recall the little (and big) milestones later on down the road. So here are a few of the things Kendall started doing this month. - Pulling up to her knees while holding onto furniture - Sitting up from a crawling position - Learned how to give a "high-five" - Learned how to do "touchdown...

Baby Dedication

Our church has a wonderful program called Baby Dedication. It's not intended to be a baby baptism or christening, but instead, it's a special time with family where we commit to raising Kendall in a Christian home where she learns about God's love. It's also a time to ask our family to come alongside us in this and keep us accountable in our actions and in our walks with the Lord. We could only invite immediate family because of space constraints, but it was such a great time of asking our parents, siblings, and their significant others to come around us and hold us accountable as we raise Kendall. Before the dedication, we had to do a little bit of "homework". There were several messages we listened to about parenting, marriage, and raising little ones to know Christ. We were then asked us to come up with five values and two habits that we want to make a priority in our home. Ryan and I really enjoyed completing this task. In fact, I think we're go...

Carnival Fun

Kendall's preschool put on a Spring Carnival last week. Most of it was for the older kids, but I think Kendall had a great time anyways! And Ryan was there too, but he was apparently in charge of the camera this time around so he didn't make it in any pictures. I took one for the team and went down the big blow-up slide with Kendall. My mouth is wide open because I was saying, "WOOOOO!"  so that Kendall would think it was fun! Ha. We all took a train ride around the parking lot. Trying to take the camera from her Dad. We bounced on the side of the bounce house  and watched the other kids play. Grammy and serious-face Kendall

Spring School Pictures

Kendall's school had a professional photographer come and take pictures of each class about a month ago. We had the option of paying a small fee to have several individual pictures taken. We were impressed with the photographer's pictures on their website, so we decided to do it. We're so glad we did because we love how they turned out.  Kendall's class - Ms. Suzanne and Ms. Kristi are Kendall's sweet teachers! I love how all the babies except one are just staring.

A Day at the Park

Last Saturday was such a beautiful day, so I decided to look up to see if there were any good parks around us. It turns out that we have two within 5 minutes of us that I never even knew existed. I guess I've just never paid attention before having a little one. So we ventured out to do a little swinging, sliding, and walking. Kendall won't keep a regular sun hat on her head.  But she'll keep this ball cap on with no problem. Having fun swinging Not so sure at first about the slide Loving it now! \ Total Mom bias - but she's precious!

Happy 9 Months!

Kendall turned 9 months old on Easter Sunday. She started army crawling this month. Girl can get around quick! She also started eating finger foods this month. She previously wanted nothing to do with them, but is now really excited to eat puffs and other finger foods. I think these pictures speak for themselves. Kendall is super squirmy and super busy these days. So attempting to take her 9-month picture was quite comical. I thought the lens cap would help. Silly me. Distracted for one second with a new Easter book.  This didn't last long. This one was taken with her dad in the room.  Hence the reason she's actually smiling and staying semi-still.

Easter Fun

We had the annual "Carson" family Easter get-together at Lake Oconee this year, as always. But this year, I had two extra people with me! Since Ryan works at our church, we have never spent Easter together since getting married. But this year, Ryan had someone fill in for him at church so that he could come. Little K-bug also had her first Lake Oconee Easter experience. We had a great time, and Kendall made sure to give everyone the furrowed brow. But she did have plenty of laughs and smiles to go around too! Kendall was SUCH a daddy's girl all day. Ryan was eating it up. Family picture Kendall with Pops Matching Masters hats Kendall wasn't too thrilled with her cousin Jeremy. Playing with her Easter eggs. Hello Kitty and pink camo!
