First Food

Since Kendall turned 4 months a few weeks ago, we thought we would see how she would do with some rice cereal. She did awesome with it and really seemed to enjoy it. She kept grabbing my arm anytime I came near her with the spoon. We're probably going to stick with this only for a month or more, but I can't wait to start feeding her other foods. Grabbing mom's wrist for more The signature furrowed brow What a mess! But so much fun. All clean!

Happy 4 Months!

My precious Kendall, You are 4 months old! Your daddy and I can't believe that the time has already gone by so quickly. Sometimes it seems like you were born last week, and other times we can't remember what life was like without you here. You are the absolute joy of our lives. We are truly enjoying each and every moment with you. You are smiling and cooing so much these days. Every time you make a noise, we stop what we are doing and just listen like it's the first time we've ever heard it. You're doing this great "pterodactyl" noise that makes us laugh. It makes you laugh sometimes too! It's like you know you're funny so you keep doing it over and over. You are doing new things all the time. It's so neat to watch you learn! You have rolled over from your stomach to your back on several different occasions. You really aren't very fond of "tummy time" so your motivation to roll over is so you don't have to be on your stom...

Just Because...

Here are some different pictures from our phones. There's no theme to the pictures...we just think Kendall is adorable. Sure we're a little biased, but I think as her parents we're supposed to be! Our Little Lion

Kendall's school celebrated Halloween today with a parade through the church. Weekday parents and other North Point staff came out to the hallway to watch the kids come through with their costumes on. Ryan and I were both able to be there to see little bit come through in her costume.   Kendall's class was first, and as they rounded the corner, we noticed that our little lion was conked out! Her teachers said they tried to wake her up, but to no avail. It was during her nap time and she was determined to get that nap in! So Kendall had no idea that she was even in a parade. But she still looked super cute! Kendall with the other girls in her class Sleepy little lion The boys in Kendall's class (Her daddy tells her that they smell) Our precious little lion (awake!)

Run for a Smile

Kendall participated in her first race this past weekend. My mom's work put on a 5K and 1 Mile Trot to benefit families who need dental work because of abuse. So Kendall and I headed down to McDonough to do the 1 Mile Trot. Kendall won first place in her age category! (haha) She even beat two 8-month old twins. And she did it while sleeping the entire time! She even had her own race number. Thanks cousin Jordan! After the 1 mile trot. Still zonked. Hanging out at the awards ceremony. Chilling after the race with Grammy and Pops.

Happy 3 Months!

Kendall officially turned 3 months old this past Saturday, October 8th. She's just now outgrowing newborn size clothes, but doesn't really fit into 3 month size yet. Too bad there's not really an in-between size. Our little bit is growing, but she's still a little peanut. This progression of Kendall's 3-month pictures is really funny. The horse never stood a chance! Kendall and her furry friends Wait, what is this pink thing? Who does he think he is? I'll show him. Takedown! Apparently the teddy bear was allowed to stay up. She looks really sweet and innocent here! Absolutely love this girl. Happy 3-month birthday sweet girl.

Weekday

As much as I dreaded it happening, 10 weeks passed, which meant it was time for me to go back to work. My 10 weeks were officially over on a Thursday, and I decided it would be perfect to start then so that I only had to work for 2 days before the weekend. Ryan's mom graciously offered to come watch Kendall Thursday and Friday. I was pretty emotional the whole week leading up to going back to work. I really wanted to just enjoy my last few days at home with her, but I teared up every time I thought about it. Then Wednesday night when I was putting her to bed, she stared at me with those big brown eyes, and the tears just started flowing (mine, not hers). I knew she would be in good hands, but the thought of not being with her every day and seeing all of the new things she's learning, and hearing her coos and giggles, and seeing her smiles, just broke my heart. Kendall started at Weekday, the name of North Point's preschool, about 3 weeks ago. After her first day, I real...
