Starting to Smile!

Lil bit is now 6 1/2 weeks old! We're a little biased, but we think she's the cutest thing ever. She has smiled at each of us once. We both just went crazy when she did it! I can't wait for it to become a regular thing. We're trying to get her stomach issues worked out so that she has more to smile about! Poor little thing is just in so much pain during and after she eats. Your prayers for her (and us) would be greatly appreciated! We hope that this passes soon because it is so hard to see her in pain.

One Month Birthday

Kendall turned one month old yesterday! Here she is with some of her stuffed friends. And here she is 2 seconds later saying, "Enough with the pictures already!"

Smitten

Have I mentioned how smitten Ryan is about his little girl? Completely smitten. As he says, his new favorite hobby is to just sit and stare at her. He's such a great dad!

Funny Pictures

Our little bit is growing so fast already. We went to the doctor last Friday and she was up to 7 pounds! I can't believe that she will already be 4 weeks old on Friday. We are having a great time with her. I won't sugarcoat it and say it's not hard, because it certainly is at times. But it's totally worth it! Ryan and I are taking pictures of Kendall every day. She's making some funny faces these days, and she's a big stretcher, so we get a lot of funny pictures. Here are just a few that we've taken. Her finger landed in her ear after a big stretch These furry things are swallowing her. Cuddling with Melvin the giraffe Do you have a question Kendall? Showing off her muscles

Little Lady

Our little bug-a-boo went to her 2-week doctor appointment last week. She was up to 6 lbs from 5 lbs 5 oz in one week! Everything else looked really great too. And she even got to dress up a little in her pretty summer dress. We are so in love and so thankful to the Lord that she's healthy.

Early Arrival

Two weeks ago, I went to what was supposed to be a simple, routine doctor's appointment. However, I was showing signs of pre-eclampsia - high blood pressure, swelling, etc. My stomach was also still measuring small, and my doctor decided she wanted me to go get an ultrasound done. The ultrasound would show how big Kendall was, and how much amniotic fluid there was. If either were lower than they should be, she would put me in the hospital that night to be induced. So Ryan and I went to the ultrasound appointment, and both proved to be true. They guessed that Kendall weighed about 5 lbs. 3 oz. and my amniotic fluid was low. So we were given instructions to go immediately to the hospital; we had to leave my car at my work, and we couldn't go home to get our bag. We headed to the hospital where they immediately got me ready to start the induction process. Unfortunately Thursday morning, I had not made any progress with the medicine and so I spent all day Thursday continuing to...

Maternity Pictures

A co-worker of mine is doing photography on the side. So for my birthday, Ryan gave me a maternity photo session. We went to Lake Lanier to take pictures since being at the lake in the summer really represents me and Ryan. We also went to downtown Alpharetta. We're really excited about how they turned out. Here are a few of the pictures she took.
