Five Years

I really can't believe that it was 5 years ago that Ryan and I were married in the UGA Chapel. Time flies when you're having fun! I'm amazed at how much we have learned about each other and how much God has blessed us in these 5 years. February 18, 2006 To celebrate our anniversary, we decided to take a long weekend trip to Asheville, NC. Ryan had never been to the Biltmore House, and I had only been once a long time ago. So we thought it would be fun to explore a new city. We had a great weekend, and it was really nice to get away from work and school for a full 3 days! Several people recommended that we eat at Tupelo Honey Cafe while we were there. So that's what we did on Saturday morning for brunch. They have an amazing Sweet Potato pancake that we shared as an "appetizer". And their goat cheese grits and sweet potato fries were equally amazing. The views from the back of the Biltmore House are incredible! My handsome hubby Almost 18 weeks pregnant...

Baby Bump

Well I'm at that awkward phase in pregnancy where it's difficult to tell whether or not I'm actually pregnant, or whether I'm just gaining weight. Luckily, the majority of people have nice comments for me, but there are those few who like to tell me how my face looks fatter, or that I need to watch how much I'm eating. But oh well...I guess it just comes with being pregnant! These are a few pictures of the progression of the baby bump. We have taken these pictures at night, after work or school, which is probably not the best of ideas because I look fairly worn out in all of them. It's also not really an accurate representation, because I definitely look bigger by the end of the day! 14 Weeks 15 Weeks 16 Weeks

Tabor Tot

Ryan and I are thrilled to announce that we are expecting a little Tabor! The little guy or girl is scheduled to arrive July 24th. We are really excited about this new adventure. We appreciate everyone's prayers for our little one, that it would not only be healthy, but that it would one day grow up to be a man or woman after God's heart. The picture above is from our 10 week ultrasound. It was so amazing to see little arms and legs moving all around. We will find out at our 20 week appointment whether we'll be buying lots of pink or lots of blue!

Snow-cation

Atlanta had its biggest snow in 10 years this week. It was exciting the first day or so. But after being stuck in the house for 4 straight days, we were more than ready for it to melt away. We did venture out around the neighborhood on the first day. Here are some pictures from the big event!

It's Official!

I'm a blogger! Most people start blogs when a big life event occurs - graduation from college, travel to an exotic foreign country, getting hitched, having a baby, etc. But after reading friends' (and strangers') blogs for a few years now, I have finally decided to start my own. And for no other reason than....well, because I can! AND also because my awesome husband took me out on a Black Friday date at approximately 3:20 am last week to buy me my very own Digital SLR camera, a Canon T2i. I'm so excited about taking pictures with my new camera, and this blog will serve as one of the places that I share them! So sit back and (hopefully) enjoy.
